To friends and family of Southbridge Care Homes,
At Southbridge, nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our residents, staff and their loved ones. It’s why we’ve implemented a number of measures to protect everyone within our care homes and communities. These measures have included immediately isolating residents who test positive for COVID-19, providing in-room meal service until they recover, and conducting a thorough cleaning and sanitization of their room. We have also restricted access to our facilities to essential personnel and visitors only, and they are required to undergo a strict screening process and follow proper PPE protocols.
While these measures have been necessary to limit the spread of the virus and save lives, we know that this has been a difficult time for many families, and that having a connection to loved ones is highly important. It’s why we are working tirelessly to maintain contact and support to our friends and families through phone calls, emails, text messages or video messaging. We are also updating families about the status of our homes experiencing outbreak through daily messages on Cliniconex, and we have established a dedicated phone line that families can contact if they have any questions about the health of their loved one or the care they are receiving.
We appreciate that family members are reaching out to us about the status of their loved ones during this difficult time. We will always do our best to provide a detailed update on their care and health status, however we remind everyone that for purposes of confidentiality, we are only authorized to release this information to a resident’s designated contact or Power of Attorney. This is standard practice, and a policy we have abided by since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
